
















Corporate Safety and Health Policy Statement
It is the intent of K.S. Construction Company to provide a safe and healthful work environment with a positive work atmosphere for all its employees. To this end, K.S. Construction has developed this Safety Plan to help fulfill its goal of assuring proper protection of the property owner, the employees of K.S. Construction, and all subcontractor personnel.
The safety and health rules contained herein were formulated to assist in protecting K.S. Construction Company and its employees. These rules have been revised to keep abreast of the latest technological developments, changing conditions and improvements in equipment and procedures, as well as the requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970. It is the responsibility of each employee of K.S. Construction to know and follow the rules of this Plan, to wear the prescribed safety equipment, and to prevent avoidable accidents at all times. All matters dealing with the safety and health of any employee shall be addressed to the Corporate Safety Director or the immediate supervisor.
The benefits of maintaining a safe and healthful work environment are abundant. Safety helps to eliminate suffering and lost wages; it improves production, maintains efficiency, reduces waste, and generally provides a sense of well being for all employees and their families.
K.S. Construction’s corporate commitment to a drug and alcohol free workplace is an integral component of our Safety Plan. We recognize substance abuse as a health, safety, and security concern and uphold the right of all employees to live and work in a drug-free environment. All employees are required to follow our policy on controlled substance and alcohol use and testing as a condition of employment. That policy is incorporated into and is an integral part of this Safety Plan.
